Dr Nigel Hunt
Dr Nigel Hunt is a psychologist with research interests in the field of memory and narrative development, particularly with regard to personal and social memories of war, and the relationship between memory and traumatic stress. He has looked at the very long term effects of war, and how both individual and societal factors affect long term psychological health. His research interests lie in work that integrates findings from across disciplines with a view to the development of appropriate theory at different levels (eg biological, cognitive, social, cultural), as all impact on the person. Memorialisation is an important set of processes in this.
